A is for…
January 21st, 2009
There comes a time when you just have to sit down and draw, without the pressure of a big concept looming over your shoulder, without an end goal, without care. One doesn’t always need to do something inspired or new… instead of waiting for something perfect, it’s better just to get started and see what happens. So that’s what I did. I present to you the first part of my animal alphabet, conte on black stonehenge paper. Some are better than others, mind you, as this was a bit of an experiment of sorts. But man, were they ever enjoyable to make!

A is for Aardvark

B is for Badger

C is for Camel
This one is tied with F as my favourite of the bunch.

D is for Dolphin

E is for Elephant

F is for Frog

G is for Giraffe
… Then I cheated a bit and went ahead and did O, since I was a little tentacle-happy.

O is for Octopus
Let me know what you think! This is all part of my New Years Resolution to do something artistic on a daily basis in 2009.
