Her hyperrealistic oil paintings of girls swimming with their heads above water are, to me, quite evocative. They remind me so well of the many summers I’ve spent camping with my family, and those quiet moments when I happened to wander out into the lake alone. I find these images peaceful and calm. That being said, when my husband saw them, he found them creepy. “They look like they’re melting, ew!”
